Meeting called to Order

SAA Ramesh Raju called the meeting to order. The meeting started with the members introducing themselves to one another and sharing their resolution for the new term.

Opening address by Outgoing President

Outgoing President Roger See, thanked the outgoing Exco team for their contribution.  He also shared with great pride that CSTM club was the 1st club in Division S to achieve the President Distinguished Club status and the award for Most Pathway Speeches completed.

This was followed by the installation of the new Executive Committee for the term 2018/19.

Opening Address by New Club President:

Newly appointed Club President Neo Yen Ping outlined her goals for the new term 2018/19. She shared, that her resolution, for the term, was to make the club a fun place and make our tagline “fun to speak, fun to lead” our club identity. She also shared that in the coming days she would work with new EXCO team on ideas that were likely to build on the success of the previous committee members.

Meeting adjourned for 30 minutes for munching and networking break.

Special Presentation - “Is Communicating Correctly, Clearly and Confidently, Critical and Crucial?” by Richard Sng, DTM.

A very informative presentation by visiting toastmaster Richard Sng, DTM on the importance of communicating correctly and clearly. He shared various examples on improving communication skills and correct use of grammar. 

Closing Address by Club President

Club President TM Neo Yen Ping ACS, ALB closed the meeting by thanking all toastmasters and guests for attending the session.
