Changi Simei TMC 1st Chapter Meeting Minutes 02 July 2016
Dear
Toastmaster Members,
Greetings,
"Great is the art of beginning, Great is the art of ending".
How
appropriately fitting quote for our theme of the day "Beginning". Our
first chapter meeting of the Changi Simei Toastmasters Club for the term
2016-17 was not just a special meeting, but a momentous one. The previous
leaders were moving on to make way for a new set of leaders. This was not the
beginning of a new chapter in our club, this was the beginning of a new book!
I
am sure these minutes of the installation day will bring back fond memories of
day. On behalf of new EXCO I would like to thank you all for the
incredibly warm welcome and support we have received.
Enjoy
the minutes!

present programme:
Our
TMD Ang Wee Yong embarked on as we welcome the new term, it is also felicitous
to state how spectacular term it was and the significant milestones we have
achieved. He revealed that the day is special not because of the installation
of new EXCO but the onset of the 15 years of CSTMC after 14 successful years of
accomplishments. Wee Yong also cited that Chartered in 2002, CSTMC has since
grown by leaps & bounds into a dynamic club and so far honoured with 13/14
President's Distinguished club awards, the highest recognition from TM
international.
Wee
Yong Commended all the members for their collateral efforts to achieve these
wonderful accolades. He also acknowledged that as club president Sandy's
accomplishments were truly exhilarating and she has delivered 20 speeches
during her tenure.
Going
through the programme sheet Wee Yong also mentioned what could be better than
choosing a theme as "Beginning" for the day as we are about to open a
new chapter. He shared that newly elected area director Mr John Lee will be commencing
the installation ceremony and after that we will have most awaited breath
taking speech by incoming club president Pravin Mishra.
Continuing
with the flow Wee Yong stated that How come there will be no fun & laughter
while we are celebrating our togetherness and no meeting could be complete
without having Table topic session.
He
invited all the members & guest for the Sumptuous spread of buffet after
the ceremony. Wee Yong mentioned that club will be conducting a special
workshop by a seasoned facilitator Marc Andre.

used during her previous speech. she summarized that how she had asked the

came out.

the opportunity to join EXCO to serve the club and
community. She said it is not about how much she achieved but about
all our participation .

topic. Now I would like to call newly elected club president Pravin Mishra to

participate, step-up for leadership. He also offered a gentle invitation to
everyone for a Cosy - Coffee - Chat session.
Conclusion:
This
was indeed a new beginning, Was it remarkable? Rhetorical? Resonating?
I
thoroughly enjoyed the meeting and I want to end the minutes with a short poem…
"This
can be your year,
For great purpose to achieve,
If you accept the challenge,
And in yourself believe..."
For great purpose to achieve,
