Theme:"Forgiveness".

Introduction: Fellowship

SAA of the day Chen Manman broke the ice by welcoming all present and requested each to give a short self-introduction and their take on what the theme “forgiveness” meant to them.
We certainly learned a lot about forgiveness from different perspectives, for some it's process of letting go, for some it's productive energy and for some its freedom. What do you think this feeling of forgiveness is good for you or for others?
Our TMD Sandy Lim got the ball rolling by appreciating SAA Chen Manman. She explained the program for the day and informed us that there is a slight modification as there is a switch of the PE roles between Ezzah &  Jack Tan.
Sandy briefly introduced the role holders for the day with their responsibilities for the ease and benefit of new members and guests. Sandy invited language evaluator DTM Shirley Ng for the word of the day. Shirley introduced a beautiful word "Mellifluous" meaning " sweetly or smoothly flowing, sweet-sounding, flowing with honey; sweetened with or as if with honey."
Like e.g.,(1) The Opera singer has most mellifluous voice.
Other related forms of the word are as below:
mellifluous, adjective
mellifluously, adverb
mellifluousness, noun
She recommended the pronunciation as "MEL - LIF -LU -OUS".

Opening Address by Club President:

Club President Pravin encouraged the members for their 100% participation in HSSE contest. He shared his personal story  that “After joining the club, I didn’t turn up for the first 2 contests. But when I participated in last year's HSSE contest, I realized what I had already missed. After HSSE contest, I participated again during the International Speech and Table Topics contest. Not in one but in both the contests and handled the role of Organizing chair as well.

Contests give you an opportunity to Challenge yourself, Test your ideas & Feel the special contests energy. They help to bring out BEST from you.

After my experience during last year's contests, I will say, it’s a MUST TRY for each & every club member! I am going to contest again this year. I encourage and inspire you all to participate in the coming HSSE contests. “
