Meeting called to Order

SAA Justin Lai called the meeting to order. The meeting started with an icebreaker session where members introducedthemselves to one another and shared their views about the Theme of the day.

Programme for the day

Thereafter, the Toastmaster of the day Taruna Menghani, introduced the role holders and their responsibilities. For the benefit of the guests and new members she shared the sequence of events.

Opening address by Acting Club President

Club President, Neo Yen Ping shared the opening address.

PM-L1-P1: Iwan Chan -"My Toastmaster Goals". Evaluated by Jack Tan, ACB, CL

TC-L1-P2: Dave Lam - "Overcoming Hurdles”. Evaluated by Saravanan Varadhan, ACB, ALB

VC-L2-P1: Ang Wee Yong – “The Best Leadership Style”. Evaluated by Joseph Soh, ACS, ALB

Table Topics 

Ramesh Raju, ACB had a very interesting Table Topic session. He added an interesting twist to the table topics by allowing participants to choose an item such as a watch, goggle or a stapler from a bag or choosing a topic on leadership styles. A number of guests and members participated and thoroughly enjoyed the session.  

Refreshment break 

Meeting adjourned for 30 minutes for munching and networking break. All members joined in to celebrate the birthdays of our members Abhishek Kapoor and Chen Manman by cutting a cake.

Special Workshop – Language Evaluation Made Easy

There was a special workshop by Ng Kin Foong, DTM where he shared some very important tips on Language evaluation. He shared how to make it informative and interesting.

Closing Address by Club President

Club President Neo Yen Ping closed the meeting by thanking all toastmasters and guests for attending the session.

Announcements

Club Treasurer, Ramesh Raju reminded members about the upcoming membership renewal in March. VPM, RampreetSandhu made the announcement of the annual club contest to be held on 2nd March 2019 and asked members to participate as speakers or role holders.
