Fellowship

Club’s 1stth Chapter meeting of the new term started one hour earlier than usual time with lunch along with fellowship, Club members and Exco were engaged in welcoming the guests, introducing themselves and briefing the activities to the guests and visiting toastmasters, making them comfortable and clearing their doubts.

Meeting called to the Order

Sargent at Arms Jyoti Soni, CC, called the 1st Chapter meeting to order by welcoming all present members and guests. She requested guests to introduce themselves. Every guest got opportunity to introduce themselves.

Toastmaster of the day

Toast Master of the day Lee Jin Hwui, DTM, kicked off the meeting by introducing agenda of the meeting and provided the details of the changes in agenda and introduced the role holders and their roles.

Opening Address by Immediate Past Club President:

Immediate Past Club President TM Pravin Mishra, CC, CL began his speech by cheering the club by broadcasting the news that club has achieved one more accolade during the current term. We managed to get ‘DCP Trophy’ for the term 2016-17 and membership growth vouchers SGD 30 + 190 = 220 from District Club Growth Director. He has also taken up new role of Assistant Division Director (Club Growth) for the term 2017-18.

He introduces the new Exco team for upcoming year 2017-18 and motivates them to do their best in their respective roles. He further explains us the power of Legacy, where in our role changes frequently, and the only thing we left behind is our legacy, which will inspire the future generations to come

Installation of New EXCO (2017/18) by Past International director and Past District Governor, Poh Kim Siong, DTM

DTM Poh Kim Siong calls upon incoming EXCO committee members and pledge each members for their respective roles. Ex-President, Pravin had presented token of appreciation to DTM Poh.

Inaugural Speech by Club President:

Newly appointed Club president Roger See, CC, CL, addresses the club members and implies the significance of “Beginning” and also explains us that its OK to say that you are not prepared for speech as life does not give “What If” option to us all the time and there is always cause and effect phenomenon and we can learn from that and move ahead.

Meeting adjourned for 10 minutes for quick munching and networking break. Post refreshment break the Table topics session continues.

The table topics master Divya Uikey conducted the session wherein members are invited to hone their impromptu skill by speaking up to 2 minutes on theme based topic they had received.

Closing Address by Acting Club President:

Our club President TM Roger See, CC,CL closed the meeting with seeking feedback from the guests and visiting Toastmasters and gives message to face our fears, stand up in front and speak. Last but not least, he thanked all for their time and invited all for a group picture and also to join our regular CCC after meeting.
