Fellowship

Club’s 15^th Chapter meeting started on time with fellowship, Club members and Exco were engaged in welcoming the guests, introducing themselves and briefing the activities to the guests and visiting toastmasters, making them comfortable and clearing their doubts.

Meeting called to the Order

Sargent at Arms TM Vikas Agarwal called the 15^th Chapter meeting to order by welcoming all present members and guests. He requested guests to introduce themselves and express few thoughts on theme of the chapter meeting “Opportunity”. Every member and guest introduced themselves and defined opportunity in his/her own unique way.

Toastmaster of the day

Toast Master of the day TM Saravanan kicked off the meeting by introducing agenda of the meeting and provided the details of the changes in agenda and introduced the role holders and their roles. TMD played the game of “stand and sit and do ha ha ha on mobile” as an Ice Breaker exercise and requested all present member and guest to say thank you to person sitting on left and right.

Opening Address by Club President:

Acting Club President TM Sandy Lim began her opening address by sharing the meaning of opportunity. She shared the quotes by Bobby Unser, “Success is when preparation and opportunity meet” and so she reiterated that when we join Toastmasters, we are getting ourselves prepared. When opportunity comes, we will be successful just like what TM Jyoti has achieved in her career. She implored all of us to embrace the opportunity to be here at the Chapter Meeting for learning and having fun.

Special speech

James Wei presented a special speech on “How to prepare your speech “. He shared the personal story and useful tips on how to prepare speeches.

Closing Address by Acting Club President:

Our Acting President TM Sandy Lim apologized to all members for the slight over-run (5:10 pm) but implored all of us to focus on the outcome which was the opportunity to be at the Chapter Meeting. TM Sandy also shared another quote by Bishop T.D. Jakes, “If you can’t figure your purpose, figure out your passion. For your passion will lead you right into your purpose.” She reminded all of us to focus on our passion for Toastmasters. Last but not least, she thanked all for their time and invited all for a group picture and also to join our regular CCC after meeting.
