Fellowship

Club’s 8^th Chapter meeting started on time with fellowship, all the club members were engaged in welcoming the guests, introducing themselves and making guests and visiting toastmasters comfortable, clearing their doubts and helping them sign in the guest book.

As this club meeting , the club was celebrated Deepvali Festival, the organizing chair , Jyoti Soni with her team had decorated the Conference room very well, with lot of lighting items, Diyas ( candles), array of lights and other decoration items.

SAA Calls Meeting to the Order

Sargent at Arms Maria flagged off the 8^th Chapter meeting by welcoming all present members and guests. She requested all members and guests to introduce themselves.

Toastmaster of the day

Toast Master of the day Jack kicked off the meeting by introducing agenda of the meeting and inviting the role holder to brief their roles.

Opening Address by Club President:

Club President Pravin began his opening address by reciting the Deepavali prayer “Tamso maa jyotiramye” and sharing story of a student and his Guru and reveal the meaning of source of light

Pravin gave the message that “Deepavali symbolizes the importance to embrace light. True Source of light is not the Sun or the Moon or the stars but the inner light. Even when life seems impossible, the brilliant light inside yourself is enough to see your way through your own darkest nights”.

Prepared Speeches

Prepared speech #1: Competent Communicator Project - 1: Speaker Kiruthika: Speech Title - "Me and my background."

Special speech

Our club mentor Wee Yong presented a very special speech from “Successful Club Series” Titled “Evaluate to Motivate“

It was very knowledgeable and insightful session on evaluation. Listening effectively, how to identify your own blind spots by doing evaluation and how the all 4 parties are benefitted by this process.

Refreshment break

Meeting adjourned for 30 minutes for the sumptuous Deepavali refreshment. The organizing team had brought variety of Indian dishes. Members and guests enjoyed sweet and salty cuisines and networking.
