Meeting called to the Order

Sargent at Arms TM Manoj Chugani, called the 12th Chapter meeting to order by welcoming all present members and guests. He requested guests to introduce themselves. Everyone got opportunity to introduce himself/herself.

Toastmaster of the day

Toastmaster of the day Eric Tan, CC, ALB kicked off the meeting by introducing agenda of the meeting and provided the details of the changes in agenda and introduced the role holders and their roles. 

Opening Address by Club President:

Club President TM Roger See delivered the opening address and welcome all guest and Toastmasters. He shared a story of a boy lived at a countryside with their parents who worked as farmers. They were a strong believer that education can bring them stable income for the family. However, their son hated studying and even left the house. In the end, the child returned home as he realised that to earn money in order to raise him to be educated was not easy.

Mini activity:

For mingling and connection: TMD Eric Tan, CC, ALB called people to have conversations during the break around “What is one thing that we can improve on in Changi Simei Toastmasters Club?”.

Meeting adjourned for 25 minutes for munching and networking break.

The table topics Master TM Vincent Tan, CC, conducted the session based on the chapter meeting theme Mistakes wherein members are invited to hone their impromptu skill by speaking up to 2 minutes on theme based topic they had received.

General Evaluation

The general evaluation was conducted by Richard Sng, DTM. He had pointed out some feedback for future consideration.

1.       Use of recycle papers instead of using new papers for general use such as taking notes for evaluation  

2.       Do make a phone call instead of Whatsapp to invite or remind external toastmasters club members to attend the chapter meeting

3.       During the refreshment, SAA can move the tables with the food to be middle of the room

4.       SAA can write out the names on the whiteboard first before the start of prepared speech and evaluation

Closing Address by Club President:

Our club President TM Roger See, CC, CL closed the meeting after awarding the ribbons and invited all to join our regular CCC after meeting.
